RED AND GREEN EQUALS CHRISTMAS, RIGHT?

Yes. When it comes to creating Christmas themed artwork, it definitely does. There’s a strong colour coding for Christmas art and if you don’t take it into account when creating your artwork, a good design might go to waste because it simply won’t say...Christmas.

That doesn’t mean that you can’t be creative with colour though. There are a million shades of red and green and a million more colours that sit beautifully with them. What about all the metallics? And how about adding Pantone blue this year? The trick is to find the balance between the traditional and the new - creating a clear, understandable message...with a twist.

Look at the range of approaches to colour in these beautiful products featuring art by Create Christmas students. From classic blue to monochromatic metallic, to traditional red and green. These designs yell Christmas from the (snowy) rooftops.
